Telegram Poster User Guide
About Telegram Poster
Instagram Poster can make automated posts to public and private Telegram channels and groups.
To use the Telegram Poster you need to have:
1. Telegram app installed on your phone or desktop.
2. At least one Telegram channel or group. Guide.
3. Telegram bot added to at least one channel or group. Guide.
You can have one or several posting campaigns running simultaneously depending on your membership level limits.
Watch our quick user guide on how to create a posting campaign.
You start creating your posting campaign by adding content feeds. You add them from Feeds Box, or from any of the content feeds generators. Also, you can manually add your feeds in the posting campaign editor using the " Add new feeds" > "Import feeds" option.
As soon as content feeds are added, you start to set up your campaign. You have two types of settings: Basic and Advanced. Only Basic settings are mandatory.
In the Basic settings, you need to Authenticate your Telegram bot. Press the Authenticate button, add your Telegram bot token and again press Authenticate.
As soon as your Telegram token is authenticated, you will see an option "Send posts to". This is a drop-down with a list of Telegram channels and groups where your bot was added. If you don't see a needed channel or group in the list, please go there and remove and then add the Telegram bot again. Then press Authenticate again.
Also, you can manually add your group or channel using the option " Other channel /group" in the drop-down. Read more about this option
You can make posts to only one channel or group from the posting campaign. If you wish to make posts to several channels or groups, you need to set up a separate posting campaign for each one of them.
In the Basic settings, you also set up a posting interval - how often you wish to make posts. The minimum interval you can set depends on your membership level: from once in "every 24 hours" for the Free Basic level, to "every 30 minutes" for the Business level.
After you are done with the basic settings you can name the posting campaign and save it.
All your Instagram posting campaigns are saved in the "FEEDS" - "Posting Campaigns" section.
See our other user tutorial on how to manage your created posting campaigns.
Posting order - set the order in which content from your specified feeds will be processed and selected for posting.
- Only new - only content that appeared in the feeds after the previous campaign run will be used for posting.
- From newest to oldest - if there is no newly appeared content, most fresh but not yet posted content from the feeds will be used for posting.
- From oldest to newest - content will be posted starting from the oldest.
- Randomly - random content from specified feeds will be posted.
If you wish to post only the most recent content, you are recommended to use the "Only new" option.
If you wish to ensure the gradual update of your Telegram channel or group, you are recommended to use the "From newest to oldest" option.
If you make posts from content feeds where timestamp does not matter, for example, product feeds or affiliate feeds, you may use the "Random" option.
Enable recycling - this option allows you to re-post already posted content over again. You can re-post the same content within the same posting campaign up to 5 times.
The "Recycling" option can be good for affiliate product feeds, or other content feeds where unique content is not the priority. Please, use this option very carefully.
Post only items with these keywords - specify one or several filter keywords. Only items that mention at least one of the specified keywords in their title or description will be used for posting.
Don't post items with these keywords - specify one or several filter keywords. Items that mention at least one of the specified keywords in their title or description will be excluded from posting.
Don't post items without images - some content feeds may contain items that don't have any images in them. This option will allow you to ignore such items.
Add item's title to post - item's title will be added to the post.
Add item's description to post - the item's description will be added to the post. There is a limit of 1000 symbols for posts with images and 4000 symbols for posts without images.
If you wish to make long text posts, don't check the Use item's image option. Your telegram posts will contain only text with up to 4000 symbols.
Add item's link to post - the item's link will be added to the post. And you can also set an anchor text for this link.
Enable first link preview - you can allow Telegram to use the first link from your post and pull an image from there and add it to the widget below your post.
Hashtags pool - here you can specify a pool of up to 100 hashtags that will be added to the post in random order. Up to 10 hashtags can be added at once.
Use a random number of hashtags - set a range for a number of hashtags to be added to the image caption. Maximum values 10-10.
With the help of hashtags pool and number randomization, you can add a random number of random hashtags to image captions. This can be useful for content promotion and optimization. If you don't want to use randomization, just set the random number range equal to the number of hashtags used, like 3-3.
Add custom text to post - specify your custom text (call to action, slogan, "read more", or else). The same text will be added to each post. You can use plain text or HTML here. Maximum length -250 symbols.
Append post links - append any tag or parameter to the links in your Telegram post. This can be any affiliate ID, tracking tags, or anything else. For example: ?utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=rssground
You can append not only link parameters, but also link fragments. If you add a fragment ( #your_fragment), make sure you enter it with the "hash" symbol (#), otherwise, it will be counted as a parameter (?your_fragment).
Advanced automation settings:
Well, don't forget to name your posting campaign, otherwise, it will have a default generic name.
